I was pretty excited to shoot Carissa and Jeff's wedding. I knew it was going to be all outdoors and in an amazing location. If there's one thing...okay, TWO things I love they are an all outdoor wedding and amazing locations! The ceremony took place in Port Hope, MI, right on the water in a gorgeous setting at Lighthouse Park. Lighthouse Park is a park as well as a campground. It also houses the beautiful Pointe aux Barques lighthouse and museum. A few sprinkles here and there early on didn't dampen the day. And hey, I have always heard that it's good luck when it rains on your wedding day! Everything came together perfectly! After the "I do's" and some photos in the park, we headed on down the road to the reception site. The bride and groom were driven in an old Ford Model T and all of the children in the wedding party hopped on a tractor! How awesome!
All the little handmade details were just to die for at the reception. I was seriously in love with everything about this country wedding. From the Mason jar favors and decor to the S'mores bar after dinner, it truly was a joyous day. Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time as you could tell by the smiles and laughter throughout the day into the evening hours.
Carissa and Jeff, I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and love!
